red gold spice sourdough bread with sprouted wheat and black sesame
baked this yesterday... yes, it is for my friends. this time they dropped by my place when i was baking. they were delivering an early birthday cake for me!!
and i treated them a freshly baked bread from the oven!
home baked blueberry cheesecake :) what a surprised!
Saffron "red gold". Saffron threads may also be toasted. Once toasted, these threads can be ground into a powder.
made smaller loaves.. great for giveaways
had so much fun, drinking dark German beer, long black coffee.. eating cake and fresh hot crunchy and soft bread.
it was a beautiful afternoon with friends.

Some wonderful loaves. I really enjoyed the coloration of the crumb and as usual the really bold bake. I always feel inspired to bake when I see your posts (although at the moment I am unable I can dream).
It sounds like you had a great afternoon and the nutritional combination of beer, cake and bread is always a good one.

Thanks for asking. I am in hospital at the moment and likely to be stuck here for many weeks. I hope to be out as soon as possible so I can start baking again.

The king of all cakes in my book is cheese cake and the blueberry cheese cake is the king of them - if you discount habanero and lime cheese cake :-)
Your bread is great as usual. Perfectly baked inside and out. I have no idea what red gold spice is so I have to go look it up. Hope the red is some kind of hot chili -but not priced like good though:-) I still haven't gotten around to baking with my Chinese numbing powder yet either.....
We are celebrating today too - 26th Anniversary.
