Vegan pasta - without a machine
Nobody told me just how easy making your own pasta was. Or if they did, I wasn't listening.
No special equipment, no special ingredients - just bread flour and water (and a little EVOO - just 'cos I like the stuff!). What's more you can flavour it anyway you like.
Now I've tried it, I can't see me ever buying the dried stuff again. I've discovered you can set to and make pasta in the time needed to boil a pan of water and cook dried pasta.
And now I've got my nine-year-old granddaughter making it:

Friday 14th Sept.
Finally broke away from my tagliatelle rut, last night, and made a lasagne with my homemade pasta and bolognaise sauce.
I made it with all wholemeal and added half a teaspoon of bouillon powder, a heaped teaspoon of nooch, and the end of a spoon of curry powder. I forgot the EVOO, but it didn't seem to make any difference - probably won't bother with it from now on.
The lasagne was the best I've ever had, simply scrummy - and I've still got half of it left.I have to say it was very satisfying, cutting the sheets to the required size for the pot - so that only one sheet was needed for each layer!
Ravioli next!
