If I were a loaf a bread I would be _______ .
Okay ... have fun ... fill in the blank.
IF I WERE A LOAF OF BREAD I WOULD BE ______________ .
Okay ... have fun ... fill in the blank.
IF I WERE A LOAF OF BREAD I WOULD BE ______________ .
I would be a baguette ...golden and slender with a beautiful crumb that most people love.
I'd be a great big six pound rye levain loaf
There are days when I'd be ...
But, there are those other days when I'd be ...
Don't we all have days like that?
Unfortunately, life is not always ...

Hmmm ... decisions, decisions ... guess I would say Black Forest Pumpernickel.
I was going to say pumpernickel before I saw your post - honest! Lots of ingredients, complex flavors, not found just anywhere, not everyone likes it, great plain or paired with your favorite meat, cheese or mustard...or all of the above....!
And also pairs well with a nice red wine! :o)
...a Swedish crispbread.
Is there a recipe for home baking crispbread?
There are many recipes floating around. Use Google.
Here's one example: Swedish Crisp Bread with Sunflower seeds
Average, familiar and comfortable in what I am. versatile with a little imagination.
I would be a little sour, a little sweet and thru and thru nutty!
Mini
Your basic sourdough. Pretty ordinary looking, but with surprising flavor. :)
Chili pepper and roasted garlic sourdough in an odd shaped boule loaf
A Polish Cottage Rye.
i would be wry
Not a honey (whole wheat)?
... and go against the grain way too often to ever be thought of as a honeybun, but at least i'm not lame, or one of those seedy, crumby types that everyone thinks of as a retarded batard!
i will say this, though, Paul, i've been following your posts for a long time, and i really admire your boules!
Stan Grigne-sberg
I would be white.
:)
Occasionally I would be a delicious cinnamon roll. Sweet and soft and oozing wonderfulness.
Some days I would be potato bread with a salt and vinegar glaze. Only to be eaten by those that enjoy a challenge.
But most days I would be an "everything" bagel and I must be crisply toasted and drenched in butter. Crunchy on the outside, soft and tender and warm on the inside with lots of complex flavors and textures thrown in for good measure.
